We are experiencing God’s grace on a daily basis here in NYC! Thank you for your prayers and ongoing support. A few of the recent exciting happenings.

    • We’ve baptized a handful of people in the last couple of months.
    • Nathan and Erin Patton have arrived from TN with their precious boys. (they are loaning me a scooter that I am absolutely loving!) The Patton’s seem to love the city and their boys are fresh energy!
    • Corey and Leann Boyd is back with Ezra and new baby Elias. It is so good to have all of them back.
    • We had a birthday party for the twins on Saturday. Lots of friends over. Tons of fun.
    • We had an awesome silent auction to help send a team to Vietnam. A few objects can still be bid on.
    • Aaron and I had a great meeting this week in Atlanta preparing to serve as facilitators @ Passion2010.
    • I’m looking forward to being @ First Baptist in Clarksville this weekend for their Great Commission Conference. Jack is coming with me!
    • Stoked to be in New York for Thanksgiving. We’re having lots of folks eat with us here.

Much more to come. Pray that we continue to reach new yorkers with the love of Christ.

      My brother,

It was good to hear you speak, in the fashion that God has always used you, here tonight at FBCT challenging those who would be like Jonah. I want you to know that we have continued to pray for your mission and your family (we also sent some awesome toilet paper with the stuff the youth put together…hope that was helpful as well).

I got back from my 4th deployment, and 3rd full year in the middle east in January. I had asked for your prayers and your input before I left in Jan 08, knowing that God would want me to lead a bible study or something like that there. I want you to know that He had much bigger plans for us there than just a bible study, though that is where it began. We started a one day a week bible study that quickly turned to twice a week. We then began our own service on Tuesday nights, lay preached, with no repeat speakers for ten months (I confess to you that I totally used your 1 Cor 13 sermon on love), with an average attendance of 15-20 people. We began hospital visits at three different hospitals, clothing ministries to the locals at some of the hospitals, we baptized 3 people and built a two story coffee house, outfitted with donations from SS classes @ FBCT. This coffee house easily receives 1,000 people a day through it.

I tell you all of that to say that God used you and a few other people to prepare me for a year of amazing ministry in Afghanistan. I saw amazing things happen that began with a few people who love Jesus, investing in others and showing the love of Christ to them.

I was able to spend a few hours this week with a few other missionaries and their testimonies were similar, investing love into people and following with the Truth.

As you, your family, and friends in NYC continue to work for His glory, know that we in TN are thanking God for you, and asking Him to bless and protect you in this journey.

      I’m 3rd,

      Jamie
